HIRING: SHORT ORDER COOK (Juniors welcome to apply)

We’re looking for a Short Order Cook to join our team. You need to be fast, reliable, and able to handle a busy kitchen. And above all else you must be passionate about food and the dishes you send out.

Basic Skills:

• Confident on the grill, fryer, and hotplate
• Able to cook eggs, proteins, and breakfast items quickly and consistently
• Good knife skills and food prep knowledge
• Able to read and follow dockets correctly
• Keep calm and focused during peak periods
• Basic understanding of food safety and cleanliness

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Cook and plate meals to order
• Prep ingredients and restock stations
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation
• Communicate clearly with front of house and kitchen team
• Follow recipes and portion control
• Manage cooking times to keep food flowing during rush hours
• Clean down equipment and kitchen areas at the end of shift

Requirements:

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen
• Punctual, hardworking, and a team player
• Flexible with hours – mornings, nights, weekends
